I am super excited (and also equally bummed out) by the theme I chose for this week. There are so many books that I have said I was going to read, really meant to read, or really want to…but they are still sitting on my bookshelf completely untouched. Here we go!
The Magicians by Lev Grossman
Alright so this one hasn’t been left completely untouched. I started it and got to about page 60. But the main character was already in like his third year of magical college! I was like “oh, my goodness this is flying by so quickly!” But not in a good way. I was so, so disappointed that I put it back down. I will eventually pick it up again, but for now it will sit there staring at me.
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke
It’s just a really big commitment. A lot of really large novels that do sound super intriguing. I just haven’t gotten around to them.
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
Another really big commitment. But this one I am just as confused as you are, simply because it sounds amazing, I want to watch the show, and I have the time to read them! I don’t know why it continues to sit on my bookshelf.
A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
I think this may actually be the fifth TTT list that has included this particular book. And all of those lists happen to revolve around “Why Haven’t I Read This?” or “I Should Really Get To This Book At Some Point” or something similar.
Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
I’ve posted a lot of Instagram photos with this book, but I still haven’t read it.
Marlena by Julie Buntin
It’s so funny, because I just realized that whenever I post something about Dark Matter, I always include Marlena somewhere in the photo or list. And yet, I still haven’t read either one!
The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
This is the last Sherlock Holmes story I have left. It breaks my heart that I am almost finished reading all of them for the very first time. So this one sits there, wondering when I will ever open it.
The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
Why haven’t I read this yet? I can’t really answer that. Because I have no excuse for not having read it yet. Or it’s sequel.
The Girl With All the Gifts by M.R. Carey
At this point, I have no idea if I will ever get to this book.
The House of Silk by Anthony Horowitz
I honestly forgot about this book until now. But really, who knows when I will read it.
